Frequently Asked Questions
What audio formats are supported?
The widget supports any audio format your visitor's browser supports — MP3 is the safest as it works everywhere. OGG and WAV also work in most modern browsers.
Where should I host my audio file?
Your web host, Dropbox (use the direct download link), or a CDN. The file must be publicly accessible — private or protected files won't play.
Why isn't my audio playing?
The most common reason is CORS (Cross-Origin Resource Sharing). Your audio file's server must allow cross-origin requests. Most standard web hosts do. Google Drive and some cloud storage providers may not.
Can I use this for a podcast?
Yes — link directly to your episode MP3 files. Each episode would use a separate widget embed with a different audio URL.
Will it autoplay?
Autoplay is off by default because most browsers block autoplay with sound. We recommend leaving it off for a better user experience.
